We were trying to come up with things to do to get us out of the house and Mom suggested the Metro Richmond Zoo. Dad told us that Brendan might not be able to see a lot of the animals. He couldn't, but he did enjoy seeing what he could see. This baby pretty much enjoys being out and about, no matter where it is. He loves to be on the go. He gets that from his dad.
That's a cup of zoo treats on top of the stroller.
See the baby? I loved watching these two.
Tom liked this ugly guy.
And the giraffes were everyone's favorite.
I only took about 2000 giraffe pictures.
We rode the sky ride over some of the larger animals.
We fed the budgies.
He slept through the train ride, snuggled up with Daddy.
This sucker was RIGHT next to the train.
He woke up....
... in time to ride the carousel on the way out.
We chose the giraffe, of course.
What a fun day we had! We both decided this was probably the best zoo we had ever been to. It's small so you can see everything they have without feeling like you've walked your legs off. And you can get up close and personal with some of the animals. We plan on coming back when we're home next summer.
