...to me!
And Happy Mother's Day to all the other moms out there!
I do my fair share of complaining about daycare, but the CDC on base does lots of activities with the kids. I expected to get a little art project, but my 15-month-old child gave me a plant! A plant that he planted himself. As they do projects with the kids, they take pictures. And then they post the pictures in the classroom. I saw one this week of Brendan planting sunflower seeds. Little did I know it was going to be my gift. Another day this week his daily report said, "Brendan enjoyed watering sunflowers today." So, even though I do complain, I am definitely satisfied with where he stays all day.
Plus, I got to visit him today. Moms were invited for the afternoon snack. He was playing when I got there and it took him a few minutes to notice me.
But notice me he did. And then he came running.
I stayed while he ate his cookie.
And then I had to go back to work. Since I was sick all last weekend I hope we can do something fun together this Mother's Day weekend. 'Night!
Happy Mother's Day! That sunflower plant is such a cute idea. XO
ReplyDeleteSo that Mother's Day Present must be where the green paint on his ear came from! ;)
