No Worries

Brendan can sit up on his own! Since I have taken approximately 786 pictures of him sitting, I'll just choose a few to share.

I started to get a little concerned. Everything I read said babies should sit on their own around 6 months. Maybe he's just like me...never in a hurry.

I bought him this train when he was being so good at Walmart a couple weeks ago. It makes lots of different sounds, and he certainly seems to like it.

Daycare is asking for another donation. This time for Your Baby Can Read, which they want to make the new infant/toddler curriculum and are asking all parents to donate $20. Is it the norm for daycares to ask for donations, in addition to your weekly payment? We've already donated once for new cribs. I have yet to see a new crib in Brendan's room. Anyway, one of the moms bought the Your Baby Can Read program and the daycare director is apparently impressed with that baby's "early language skills." I briefly wondered if she were a better mother than I. And then Tom brought me back to my senses. I did some research and decided I am completely unimpressed with that particular program. So I took my $20 and bought my boy a new toy.

I messed up and accidentally bought a toy that says 12 months +. Oh well. He likes it. You're only a baby once, right? I'm for sure not going to worry about my seven-month-old learning to read.

In this house we love to snuggle.

Can you tell?

We love to play, too.
Daddy's pride and joy.

This boy LOVES his daddy.

And why am I worried at all about Brendan reading? He likes his books.

Every morning he hangs on to this book on our way to daycare.

He even fell asleep holding it this afternoon.

Daddy had to go to a dinner tonight. Don't you just love a man in a uniform?

What a stud.

So it was just the two of us at home tonight. Isn't it funny what babies find entertaining?

This boy right here...the light of my life.

  2. Sometimes...I actually see Adam in him. But I think I'm the only one.
