Karate Kid

We originally decided to spend some time in Florida with the girls because Makayla was testing for a new tae kwon do belt. We had seen Kirsten play soccer games and we really wanted to be able to watch Makayla in her sport of choice as well. She had to be there early and then the families were invited back at 11 for a demonstration. Here is Kirsten's wake-up call.

He is my every morning wake-up call, and I wouldn't have it any other way. And as of late, he is once again my multiple times during the night wake-up call....those I could do without.

Tom wanted to get a few shots of Makayla as she was getting ready for class.

Notice the concentration in those eyes.

 

And here is our little karate kid on her way to get her new belt.

I love this picture.

She was obviously quite proud of herself, and with good reason. The rest of us were equally as proud.
